Oscar at East Beach
"Oscar" at East Beach.
Not adopting humans,
at this time, thank you.

Oscar wants to remind you to
scroll all the way down . . .
to see everything!

      Charlie's Cafe, Granby
Charlie's Café - obviously. AA
so much to see - so much to paint - so little time Charlie's Café sign

Charlies

Welcome to Charlie's Cafe
The guy to see is Glen, and Ted Warren is our host.  A supporter of the arts, owner Ted Warren encourages artists to hang their work in his "rotating" gallery at Charlie's.
There is always a scramble, to fill the walls. (er, sorry)

Painted Lady

Painted Lady
Painters are always interested in the colorful facade of the Painted Lady, on 17th Street.
So there will be a couple of artists out there, capturing "her" charms. Not an AA host.

Charlie's Café
AA,
is extending a warm welcome, and will be the Adopt-an-Artist Location in the neighborhood.

Doumars at dusk
Doumar's Barbeque & Ice Cream, at dusk.

Time has virtually stood still
for Doumar's. The icecream cone was invented there . . .
and they are still made for Doumar's customers, on the same machine!
Have a barbeque sandwich - have TWO.  Don't forget the limeade!  Eat in - or have it brought to your car.
On second thought . . .

Eat quick . . . so you can get outside and PAINT!

Hope to see you at the Wet Painting Sale on Oct 24th, 2009.
           Pagoda Waterlilies         Prince Books Chair

Close to Waterside and Town Point Park, Prince Books is a charming bookstore with a coffee shop on premises.  On Main Street.  AA

Walk down Main, toward the water, and the Pagoda and Nauticus are a 'stone's throw' away. So is the battleship, Wisconsin. The Pagoda is hosting too!
Don't miss seeing . . . and painting the Oriental Garden, which is there.
Our AA hostess is Madeline Sly, creator of the garden sanctuary.
Az Tamouro, the ever-gracious manager of the Pagoda Restaurant is your contact.

If you love sweets . . . paint Rowena's! Home baked goodies galore . . . and "sweet" details to paint, like this front window.

Remember that only the photos with AA are "Adopt an Artist" locations.
These are the spots where there will MOST LIKELY be painters out with their easels.
